Biography
Andrea Kristin Origenes, DO, is a Sports Medicine Fellow at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine and a graduate of the Northwest Health Porter Family Medicine Residency Program in Valparaiso, Indiana, where she served as Chief Resident and was part of the inaugural residency class. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Origenes has clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, ICU, community health, and sports medicine settings. She serves as Adjunct Faculty at Midwestern University, where she teaches clinical skills, physical examination, osteopathic competencies, and procedural skills to medical students. Her clinical, teaching, research, and service interests include primary care sports medicine, osteopathic medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, sideline sports coverage, musculoskeletal medicine, post-concussion rehabilitation, medical education, quality improvement, and compassionate, evidence-based care for diverse and underserved populations.
