Biography
Ramin J. Espandar, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric orthopaedics, sports medicine, and foot and ankle surgery. He received his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. He subsequently served on the faculty at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, advancing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor.
Dr. Espandar has pursued advanced fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics, sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, and orthopaedic trauma in the United States and Europe. He completed two years of fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics at Nemours Children’s Health and is currently completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Espandar has maintained a strong commitment to clinical care, resident and medical student education, research, and international collaboration. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. His clinical and academic interests include pediatric orthopaedics, sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, medical education, and clinical research.
