Biography
Biography
Aeryn Kangas-Dick, MD, is a surgical oncologist at the West Michigan Cancer Center. She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. She received her MD from St. George's University. She completed a General Surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. Her clinical interests include hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, and upper gastrointestinal surgery with a focus on esophageal and gastroesophageal malignancies, as well as minimally invasive approaches to complex oncologic operations. Her research interests include access to care for cancer patients, surgical education, outcomes based research in esophageal and pancreas surgery, and the prognostic and therapeutic implications of gene alterations in hepatocellular carcinoma.
