Biography

Amy Clithero-Eridon, PhD, MBA, is a faculty member in the Department of Family & Community Medicine (FM) at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Clithero-Eridon has a Ph.D. in Family medicine from the University of Kwazulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. In addition, she has a Master of Business Administration, and a Masters level certification in Medical Education from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. In addition to teaching medical students about social determinants of health, health policy, and health services research, Dr. Clithero-Eridon leads educational research initiatives focusing on social accountability within medical education and research. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Clithero-Eridon is the North American Regional Representative on the Board of Directors for the Network Towards Unity for Health and works with numerous global health agencies to improve social accountability in practice, research, and education.
