Biography

Biography

Jacob Baker, MD, PhD is an infectious disease physician. He received his undergraduate degree at Calvin College. He completed his PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Michigan State University in the laboratory of Robert Abramovitch, studying the genetics and metabolism of Mycobacterium tuberculosis adaptation to the host environment. He then completed his MD at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious disease at Corewell Health Hospitals in Grand Rapids, MI. His clinical and research interests include multidisciplinary sexually transmitted infection screening, coordination of public health efforts with the local health department, and improving outcomes in the treatment of infectious disease.
