Biography

Kristin Mizerik, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon that specializes in hand and upper extremity. She is a graduate of Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She then completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery through the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. From 2018-2021, she practiced orthopedic hand/upper extremity surgery and was an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She then transitioned to private practice in Fort Wayne Indiana before accepting a position at Bronson Methodist Hospital and returning to teaching/academics at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. Her clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education, complex bone/tendon/ligament/nerve injuries in the upper extremity, and passion for increasing diversity and inclusion within the orthopedic healthcare system.
