Biography

Kelsey Temprine, PhD, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before spending a year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Trainee. She completed her PhD in Cancer Biology at Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in New York, New York, where her work focused on the role of error-prone DNA polymerases and stress-induced mutagenesis in the development of drug resistance in melanoma. She also completed two postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in Cancer Biology and Physiology. Her interests include innovative teaching methods and science outreach.
