Biography

Karthik Vijayaraghavan, MD, MPH, is a board-certified internal medicine and pediatric phyician currently working as an internal medicine hospitalist for Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Originally from India, he is a graduate of Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur, India. After his 12 month resident internship training he served in a coastal town as junior resident doctor after the tsunami of 2004.

Dr. Vijararaghavan moved to the United States in pursuit of further education in public health and health services administration from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee. He completed residency training in the Medicine-Pediatrics Residency program with Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Residency training endeared him to southwest Michigan; his first Michigan winters were nothing short of amazing. He stayed on as a hospitalist with Bronson Healthcare System in Kalamazoo.

Dr. Vigaraghavan has been in clinical practice since 2012. His interests and passions are in medical education, clinical bedside teaching, and mentoring. He is also passionate about providing clinical services in a rural/community hospital setting which has been rewarding so far in terms of the patient care and community appreciation.
