Biography

Ali Ghasham, MD, is a board-certified family physician currently practicing as a hospitalist with Bronson Healthcare Group in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. He later enrolled at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine where he obtained his medical degree. He completed his family medicine residency at Florida Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Winter Park, Florida. He was Board Certified in September 2011. He began his professional career at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mchigan, as as hospitalist while also beginning his service as a reserve officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. After working for Oaklawn Hospital he decided to join Bronson Hospital Medical Group and continued his career as hospitalist. He has also had the opportunity to work part-time at several other institutions over the last eight years as a hospitalist. His part time work also includes Assistant CLIA medical director at Octa Pharma Plasma donation center and Medical Director for "Groups Therapy" -- a program utilizing MAT (suboxone) for patients with Opioid Use Disorder. He is currently actively engaged in medical student and resident education. He is passionate about teaching and sharing his experiences with aspiring students, residents, and his fellow colleagues.
