Robin Pierucci, MD is a practicing neonatologist. She is a graduate of Loyola University-Chicago. She completed her residency in pediatrics as well as her fellowship in neonatology at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, Medical College of Wisconsin. During her fellowship, she also completed her masters degree in Bioethics and published her clinical research on bringing palliative care into the NICU.
After fellowship, Dr. Pierucci came to Kalamazoo and has been with Southwest Michigan Neonatology since then. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr Pierucci has been active in teaching residents at the bedside, participating in perinatal and neonatal palliative care consults, and is also the medical director of the neonatal group at Bronson. She also has had an active role in a community-wide initiative to help drug exposed infants and their families. This initiative remains an active quality improvement project in the NICU. Her clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education, neuroprotection of premature babies, palliative care, and bioethics.
