Jill Chambers, PA-C, is a board-certified physician's assistant with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine's Surgery Clinic in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. She earned there a bachelor's degree in dietetics, which included clinical rotations in Medical Nutrition Therapy and working throughout the community addressing clinical needs in public schools and in-patient facilities to enhance nutritional outcomes. In 2005, Ms. Chambers earned a degree in physician's assistant studies from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Ms. Chambers has worked in family medicine and general surgery since graduation. She started with Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in 2009. She currently works with Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine's General Surgery Residency Program as well as with WMed medical students. She works at both Bronson Methodist Hospital and Borgess Medical Center as an inpatient provider as well as WMed's outpatient surgical clinic. She has worked with WMed's Simulation Laboratory to organize and implement structure in simulation lab and equipment used for training residents.
Ms. Chambers' interests and priorities include providing consistent, highest quality care to her patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and working with physicians and resident physicians to collaborate care to all surgical patients.
