Biography

Angelica Lorenzo, DO, is an obstetrics and gynecology resident physician at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. She is from Geneva, Illinois, and a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She earned both a master's degree in biomedical science and a medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, Downers Grove, Illinois. While in medical school, she conducted research in reproductive biochemistry focusing on isolating and culturing stage specific segments of mice seminiferous tubules and won the Kenneth Suarez Research award for her work. She was also nominated by her peers into the Golden Humanism Honors Society, a service society created to identify role models, teachers, advocates, and leaders who will promote compassion, patient-centered care throughout their careers. Her clinical and teaching interests include serving those with addiction during pregnancy and mentoring medical students wishing to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology.
