Maria Demma Cabral, MD, received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2007. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, in Paterson, New Jersey, in 2012. She pursued further training in adolescent medicine training at Niklaus Children's Hospital, in Miami, Florida (formerly known as Miami Children's Hospital). She was an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 2015 to 2018. Her interests include pubertal development, high risk teens, eating disorders, and adolescent contraception and gynecology. She has worked on research with focus on eating disorders and improvement of HPV vaccination rates. She has interest in quality improvement projects related to adolescent health. She likes to be involved in medical student and resident education.
