Biography

Biography

David Waterson, DO, is a primary care sports physician. He graduated from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, with a degree in biology. He graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. In 2001, he competed a residency in family medicine through MSU/Sparrow Hospital. After practicing full spectrum family medicine from 2001 to 2012, Dr. Waterson finished a sports medicine fellowship at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in 2013. He practiced sports medicine in Lansing, Michigan, from 2013 to 2018. In 2018, Dr. Waterson returned to Kalamazoo to join Bronson Sports Medicine. For many years Dr. Waterson has enjoyed teaching medical students and residents. While working for a multi-specialty group in Lansing, he served on the board, including a period as the chairman. He is in his final year of a four year commitment with the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Waterson has a particular interest in ultrasound and ultrasound guided interventions.
