Biography

Dr. Mark Veenstra is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is retired. He is a graduate of Calvin College with a BA in Education in 1977. He earned his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1983. He completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from Henry Ford Health System-Henry Ford Hospital in 1988. He was in practice in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for 27 years and retired at the end of 2014. He continues to perform many surgeries in Honduras, where he spends 8 weeks a year caring for Honduran patients.
