Biography

Michael Busha MD, MBA is a family physician. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas and George Washington University School of Business, Washington, D.C. He completed a residency in family medicine at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina and an advanced obstetric fellowship at Spartanburg Regional Health in Spartanburg, South Carolina. From 2005-2010, Dr. Busha maintained a full-scope family medicine practice in rural Missouri. In 2010, Dr. Busha joined Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health and has served as a residency program director, medical director for quality, assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education, assistant dean for career mentoring and associate dean for statewide system advancement. He is currently the associate dean for Educational Affairs and department chair for Medical Education at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. His clinical, teaching and research interests include medical education, quality improvement and population health.
