Biography
Biography
Tim Sparling, DNP, RN, AGPCNP-BC, ACHPN is a Clinical Assistant Professor. He is employed by the Bronson Healthcare Group and Hospice of Southwest Michigan. He started his academic career at Michigan State University's Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies (MSU/KCMS). While continuing to work at MSU/KMCS he became a graduate of Kalamazoo Valley Community College, with a AAS in 2002. He also has a BA/BSN from the University of Phoenix in 2009. He as a DNP from Wayne State University in 2013. He has a APRN also from Wayne State University in 2013. He then went on to receive an ACHPN in 2016. He helped to facilitate EMR roll outs to KCMS practices within Bronson and Borgess. In this role he developed training manuals for clinical and non-clinical staff. Then Dr. Sparling spent 6 years in both clinical and leadership roles with Heartland Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Sparling continued to work part-time with on-call positions at Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan as well as working at Wayne State in two separate RO1 trials. After graduation Dr. Sparling worked at Bronson Commons for one year and then transitioned to Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center as the program coordinator for Survivorship and Advanced Illness Management; where he has been working the past two years.
