Biography

Carrie Sandborn, DO, graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine as an Osteopathic Physician.  She subsequently did her Family Medicine residency at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, MI. She served as chief resident her final year of residency. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She has completed additional training in Cranial-Sacral OMM technique post residency. She has been adjunct clinical faculty for MSU COM and MSU CHM, prior to starting at WMed, as an outpatient preceptor for residents and medical students.

Dr. Sandborn's professional interests include medical student/resident/physician mental health and well-being, as well as burn-out prevention (for which she has obtained Balint Group Training), grief and loss, OMM-Cranial, Women and Childrens Health, student affairs, Obesity Medicine/Medical weight loss Managment, Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity.
