Biography

Dean Kindler, MD, MA, is a board-certified vascular neurologist in the Department of Medicine. He is employed by Ascension Borgess and practices at Borgess Medical Center. He is a graduate of Boston College with a BS in Biology (Magna Cum Laude) in 1988. He also has a MA in Biological Oceanography from the William and Mary-Virginia Institute of Marine Science in 1991. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry with the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1996. He also completed a Residency in Neurology also from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1999. He then completed a Fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2001.
