Tycho Fredericks, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering and Engineering Management at Western Michigan University and Professor in the Dvision of Medical Engineering at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed). Dr. Fredericks served as Program Chief of the Program in Medical Engineering at WMed from 2015-2024.
Dr. Fredericks is a graduate of Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He earned his masters degree and doctorate in industrial engineering from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. He also has a board certification as a professional ergonomist.
Dr. Frederics also serves as Director of the Human Performance Institute at Western Michigan University.
