Biography

Biography

Steven Huprich, PhD, received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuase, NY and has completed additional training at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. He currently is a candidate for board certification in clinical psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Huprich is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy and Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He also has held faculty appointments at Wichita State, Eastern Michigan, Baylor, and the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita Universities. He has published seven single-authored or edited books, approximately 125 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and authored or co-authored over 200 presentations. Dr. Huprich is past Editor of the Journal of Personality Assessment, Associate Editor of the Journal of Personality Disorders, and Past President of the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders. Dr. Huprich's interests are in the diagnosis, classification, assessment, and treatment of personality disorders and pathology.
