Biography

Garth Tormoen, MD, PhD is a Radiation Oncologist. He is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI and Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, OR. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR and his residency training at Oregon Health and Science University. During residency, he enrolled in the B. Leonard Holman Research Pathway to investigate blood coagulation-driven solid tumor immunosuppression. Dr. Tormoen has been engaged in community-based clinical practice since 2020 and his clinical focus is on solid malignancies of the head and neck, thorax and central nervous system. His research and teaching interests are on the interplay between radiation induced tumor cell death and adaptive immune responses.
