Biography

Biography

Lekha K. George, MBBS, MD, is currently a faculty at the W Med and Professor and faculty at Texas Tech Health Science Center. She is a graduate of Sri Ramachandra Medical College. She completed her residency at the University of Texas at Houston and did her Nephrology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. She spearheads the innovative teaching initiatives of nephrology fellows and internal medicine residents in the health system. She has authored many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Her research work has been presented at national and international conferences, including the annual American Society of Nephrology sessions. Dr George is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Her clinical, teaching, and research interests include medical education and vulnerable populations related to CKD education, and she is a great advocate of Home Dialysis
