Biography

Bruke Abenet, MD, MSc, MHA, is a resident physician in the Family Medicine Residency Program - Kalamazoo at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He attended New York University for an undergrad majoring in African American Studies. He went on to broaden his educational scope by obtaining a Masters of Science degree from American University of Antigua with active research related to Current Trends and Issues in Antibiotic Resistance of Clostrioides Difficile. He also obtained a Masters in Health Administration from Grantham University. While in Georgia, Bruke worked as Director of Care Managers at Health Wealth Safe Inc for two years managing the various affiliated clinical practices and their care providers in providing Chronic Care Management. Having been raised in Ethiopia and recognizing health care to be a privilege to most, he hopes to commit himself to projects that can improve access to health care and promote health equity to disadvantaged populations.
