Biography

Patrick Hansma, DO, is a board-certified forensic pathologist with the Department of Pathology at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency with William Beaumont Hospital, Beaumont Health System, Royal Oak, Michigan. He completed his forensic pathology fellowship with Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, Cleveland, Ohio. After graduation, Dr. Hansma worked as Deputy Medical Examiner for Genesee County, Michigan, then as Deputy Medical Examiner for Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, and Shiawassee Counties. His research interests include forensic pathology.
