Biography

Alec MacDonald, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with Bronson Family Medicine - The Groves in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Michigan. He completed a residency in family medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Florida.

Prior to coming to Kalamazoo, Dr. MacDonald served as senior medical officer for the Dewert Branch Health Clinic, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, California. His duties there included providing care for 300 permanently stationed active duty marines and their families as well as 10,000 rotating training marines.

Dr. McDonald's clinical interests include preventative care, musculoskeletal injuries, and veteran-focused medicine.
