Biography

Andrew C. Heisler, MD, MSCI is a board-certified rheumatologist with Bronson Rheumatology Specialists in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Loyola University Chicago. Following medical school, he completed an internal medicine residency at Loyola University Health Center in Maywood, IL. He completed his subspecialty training in rheumatology at Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he additionally completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. Following his clinical fellowship, he completed a NIH T32 fellowship at Northwestern to gain further clinical research skills.

Dr. Heisler's research interests include understanding mechanisms of chronic pain in inflammatory arthritis. Dr. Heisler also has an interest in the use of patient reported outcomes to better understand the patient experience in inflammatory arthritis. Dr. Heisler's clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, crystal arthritis, and vasculitis.
