Biography

Dr. Han is Professor of Computer Information Systems at Western Michigan University. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from University of Washington (Seattle, Washington) in 1989 and taught and earned his tenure at Washington State University (Pullman, Washington) in 1995. He joined Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, Michigan) in 1998. Dr. Han was the department chair of Business Information Systems from 2003 to 2009 and developed two new undergraduate majors, e-Business Design and Telecommunication & Information Management, during his tenure as the department chair. Currently, Dr. Han is the director of the Center for Health Information Technology Advancement (CHITA) at Western Michigan University to promote the expedition of deploying health information technology for better health care and delivery. He also serves as member on the editorial board for a few academic journals and has published research papers in journals such as International Journal of Electronic Healthcare, IEEE Transactions on Robotics and Automation, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Telecommunication Systems, Communication of the ACM, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information System Education, Decision Science Journal of Innovative Education, and among others.
