Biography

Malinda Bell, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine and palliative care physician located at Borgess Medical Center. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Kansas City, which is also where she earned her medical degree and completed an emergency medicine residency. She currently holds the position of Palliative Care Physician Consultant at Borgess.

Dr. Bell has held varied positions, including Palliative Care Specialist at Hospice Waikato in Waikato, New Zealand, Hospice Physician for Hospice of Michigan, and Associate Medical Director of Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. She also has been active with committees, organizations, and teams in her field, including serving on the University of Missouri - Kansas City's Medical Humanities Advisory Committee, the Ethics Committee for the Kansas University's School of Medicine, and the Culture Transformation Team for West Shore Medical Center in Manistee, Michigan.

Dr. Bell has professional interest in palliative care and hospice, patient satisfaction, rural medicine, and physician burn-out.
